A creature that looks an awful lot like Bigfoot had been discovered in GA. This creature was 7′7″, weighed over 500lbs, walked upright and most importantly, had feet that were nearly 17″ long. Several others were spotted in the area on the same day, Rick and Matt are planning a trip in the near future in an attempt to catch one of these badboys. Wish I had a photo but all the sites are swamped, and these guys are keeping a pretty tight hold on the rights. If you can get cryptomundo.com to load, there are a few photos there, even one where you can see the face. Press conference on Fri, we’ll see you there.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
August 12, 2008
BIGFOOT BODY FOUND
DNA evidence and photo evidence to be presented at a
PRESS CONFERENCE
to be held on
Date: Friday, August 15, 2008
Time: From 12Noon-1:00pm
Place: Cabana Hotel-Palo Alto (A Crown Plaza Resort) 4290 El Camino Real, Palo Alto, California 94306

Searching for Bigfoot, Inc. Menlo Park, California
Tom Biscardi, CEO

BIGFOOT BODY FOUND - EVIDENCE AND DNA DETAILS TO BE PRESENTED AT A PRESS CONFERENCE ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 15th

FROM 12 N00N TO 1:00PM AT THE CABANA HOTEL-PALO ALTO IN PALO ALTO, CALIFORNIA

A body that may very well be the body of the creature commonly known as “Bigfoot” has been found in the woods in northern Georgia.

DNA evidence and photo evidence of the creature will be presented in a press conference on Friday, August 15th from 12 Noon to 1:00pm at the Cabana Hotel-Palo Alto at 4290 El Camino Real in Palo Alto, California, 94306. The press conference will not be open to the public. It will only be open to credentialed members of the press.
Here are some of the vital statistics on the “Bigfoot” body:
*The creature is seven feet seven inches tall.
*It weighs over five hundred pounds.
*The creature looks like it is part human and part ape-like.
*It is male.
*It has reddish hair and blackish-grey eyes.
*It has two arms and two legs, and five fingers on each hand and
five toes on each foot.
*The feet are flat and similar to human feet.
*Its footprint is sixteen and three-quarters inches long and five and three-quarters inches wide at the heel.
*From the palm of the hand to the tip of the middle finger, its hands are
eleven and three-quarters inches long and six and one-quarter inches wide.
*The creatures walk upright. (Several of them were sighted on the same day that the body was found.)
*The teeth are more human-like than ape-like.
*DNA tests are currently being done and the current DNA and photo evidence will be presented at the press conference on Friday, August 15th.

The creature was found by Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer (residents of Georgia) in the woods in northern Georgia. (The exact location is being kept secret to protect the creatures.)
Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer will be flying in from Georgia to be at the press conference. Also present at the press conference will be Tom Biscardi, CEO of Searching for Bigfoot, Inc.
Whitton is a Clayton County, Georgia, police officer, who is currently on administrative leave after being wounded in the course of duty pursuing an alleged felon. Dyer is a former correctional officer. Whitton and Dyer are co-owners of bigfoottracker.com and Bigfoot Global LLC., a company that offers Bigfoot expeditions. Whitton and Dyer are working with Bigfoot hunter, Tom Biscardi, and Biscardi’s Searching for Bigfoot, Inc., to present and conduct the scientific study of the evidence and information on this body.
A few weeks ago, Whitton and Dyer announced the finding of the body on the “Squatch Detective” radio show, an internet based radio show hosted by Steve Kulls. While on that show, the commentator asked Rick Dyer “Would you allow one of our people to come down and verify the body?” Dyer replied, “The only person we would allow to come down and verify the body was ‘the real Bigfoot Hunter,’ Tom Biscardi.” The next day, the producer of the Squatch Detective show contacted Biscardi with pertinent information on how to contact Dyer and Whitton.
Extensive scientific studies will be done on the body by a team of scientists including a molecular biologist, an anthropologist, a paleontologist and other scientists over the next few months at an undisclosed location. The studies will be carefully documented and the findings will be released to the world, according to Biscardi.
Biscardi is known as “the real Bigfoot Hunter” because of his extensive investigations out in the field. He has been searching for Bigfoot since 1971 and over the past several years, he has been criss-crossing the United States and Canada tracking down the hottest leads on Bigfoot sightings.
Videography on the studies will be done under the supervision of Scott Davis, an independent producer and owner of TV Biz Productions in Phoenix, Arizona.
Currently, Tom Biscardi and his Searching for Bigfoot Team, in conjunction with Bigfoot Global LLC., are preparing to capture another of these creatures alive. That expedition will start very soon. The dates and the locations are being kept confidential.
The body that is currently being studied is being referred to as the “RICKMAT” creature, a name derived from the names of Rick Dyer and Matthew Whitton. [Cryptozoologist Loren Coleman recommends the term “Georgia Gorilla” be used to remove any taint of ego from the discovery, and so the general public, media, and science will have a comfortable moniker until a formal zoological name may be bestowed.]
Last year, a film that Biscardi produced about his investigations, called “Bigfoot Lives,” won first place in the Documentary category at the Pocono Mountains Film Festival. Biscardi also hosts a Bigfoot oriented internet radio show that can be heard on Wednesday nights from 7:00pm to 8:00pm PDT at www.bigfootliveradioshow.com. The show is heard in over thirty countries.
Searching for Bigfoot, Inc. has exclusive rights to all publishing rights, photo rights, television and film rights, production and distribution rights and other commercial opportunities related to the discovery and findings regarding this body and these creatures.
Interested parties may contact Searching for Bigfoot, Inc., in writing, at their mailing address, 1134 Crane St., Suite 216, Menlo Park, California 94025.

Thanks for your dedication to the search, it must have taken hours of hunting to find Champ in satellite photos from google maps. I have no idea what that object is, I am embedding the map below so that our readers can decide for themselves.

Keep up the great work,

Hi Danielle,
I am glad that you are taking up the cause of researching Champ. I have not had any reported sightings from Canada, nor do I know of any groups collecting Champ sighting info from north of the border. Please stay in touch and keep me up to date with your findings.

Good luck searching!

dear charlie champ chaser,
my name is andie guran, i am ten years old, and i have a few questions. i watched a show on discovery channel, and a woman reported a sighting of some dinosaur-looking creature on her lake champlain property. she said at night when her dogs started barking, she looked out her window and saw the creature walk under the light-post. she described both of the ones she saw(on different nights), as a plaseosaur-lookind creature without flapper fin things. my question is, do you think that champ could’ve evolved from a plaseosaur, into all these funny sea monsters we’ve been seeing? and do you think they could’ve developed sonar like that other woman captured on tape like no other sonar?(i’ll explain it to you some other time, if you don’t know that story. but i think you do)

please write back, your friend,
andie:)

Hi Andie,
Thanks for your email, I’m sorry it took me so long to respond, its been a busy summer of searching for Champ. Regarding the monster walking under the street lamp… there have been a lot of sightings of Champ lounging on the shore of the lake or coming up on shore. It is entirely possible that one was walking across her property as long as it was somewhat near the water. Personally, I believe that Champ has flippers, but I have never seen one myself so I can’t be sure. I would be interested in learning more about the sonar you speak of, believe it or not I have not had the opportunity to watch the history channel documentary. Looking forward to hearing from you.

pproximately 10,000 years ago, the glacier’s retreat allowed marine
waters from the St. Lawrence estuary to flood the Basin, forming the
Champlain Sea, an arm of the Atlantic Ocean. The extent of this salty
sea is shown on the Champlain Sea Map [182 KB].
Many marine animals, including Beluga whales, Atlantic cod, seals, and
blue mussels lived in the Champlain Sea. In 1849, railroad workers
found a Beluga whale skeleton in Charlotte, VT, which is now on display
at the University of Vermont. Many other fossils of the Champlain Sea
time period have been found in Canada.

UVM Professor of Geology, Charlotte Mehrtens, says that the oldest
reefs are found around “The Head” of the south end of the island,
slightly younger reefs are found at the Fisk Quarry and the youngest
(the famous coral reefs) are located in fields to the north. Together,
these three sites provide a unique narrative of events which took place
over 450 million years ago in ocean in the Southern Hemisphere, long
before the emergence of Lake Champlain - 20 thousand years ago.

In the summer of 2006 I was the department head of canoeing and
kayaking at Brown Ledge Camp on Colchester Bay in Vermont. I was on
the dock every morning at 9am. This time of the day the water was
always flat and there was rarely any boat traffic. One morning I was
on the dock with several other staff members when I saw a strange set
of waves in the middle of the bay. About 300 yards out in the bay I
saw a set of five or six small waves travelling away from the outlet of
the bay in toward Colchester Bay, towards the boat launch. The lake
was perfect glass except for those waves which all traveled in unison
across the bay until they went out of sight around the point. There
were no boats on the lake and it was completely silent. There was no
wind and nothing that could have possibly caused a disturbance of the
water. Further more the waves travelled in a manner where they all
stayed together in perfect space from each other, never spreading apart
or moving like normal chaotic waves. This same thing happened twice that summer.
I am not a nut or some guy that believes in aliens or anything like
that, I call em’ as I see em’ and thats what I saw. I had no
explanation of what it was in the water, naturally people around were
asking me what it was. I spent every day on that dock and saw all
sorts of different conditions but nothing like I saw those two
mornings. I have been around water all my life kayaking, sailing,
fishing and motor boating I know what all wakes look like and how waves
form. I don’t know if what I saw was Champ but what I have heard
other (normal, sane, nice) people say lines up startlingly similarly to
what I saw that summer. I believe something unexplained cause those
waves and from a very experienced water person they really were like
nothing I have ever seen. Lake Champlain is enormous and I really do
think that there is a very real possibility that there is something in
there that we don’t officially know about. Again I am a regular guy like anyone out there, I came in from Bozeman, MT as a kayak instructor at this summer camp and
this is what I saw, never have I seen anything in my life that simply
escaped explanation.

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for the giving me the opportunity to answer your Champ questions, my responses are inline below.

When did you start getting interested in the lake monster?

I first became interested in Champ when I moved to Vermont and started hearing all the stories about the monster in the lake. Initially I laughed it off but I kept seeing and hearing more accounts. I really began to get interested when I heard about the video that eventually ended up on ABC News. I put up the site within a couple days of seeing the video and have been flooded with traffic ever since.

What kinds of research have you done regarding the champ phenomenon?

I will admit that I have not done enough on-lake research in the last couple years, this is mainly because I had no boat or access to one. I did just purchase a small boat and plan on spending time on the lake this summer. I have spent a lot of time doing research on the web and reading books on the subject. The best information has come from eyewitness reports of sightings from reader of this site, I have been able to learn a lot by discussing the experiences of the dozens of people that have seen Champ in the last couple years.

Have you seen the monster or experienced anything while on the lake that you thought was out of the ordinary?

I have never seen Champ, but I always keep my eyes peeled when I am on the lake. I have seen things that look like they could be Champ, unexplainable waves, things sticking out of the water, etc. They never end up being Champ when I take a second/third glance. I will continue to keep my eyes peeled, and hopefully will spot our friend this summer.

From your experience, do people take this legend seriously or do you yourself often face ridicule from people who don’t believe?

Some people are very serious about Champ and some people see it as a huge joke. That is the main reason that I am so dedicated to finding concrete evidence of this species/creature. If there is something in the lake we need to take steps to protect it and its Lake Champlain habitat. Based on the accounts of others, I am a firm believer in Champ. I try to keep an open mind so that I can be objective on the topic… of course this will all change if I ever see him.

There are several different theories as to what exactly species Champ belongs to, what do you think Champ actually is?

I believe that Champ is a population of landlocked creatures that have lived in Lake Champlain since the time that it was giant sea. When the lake gradually began losing its salinity, this species was able to gradually evolve with the surroundings. From accounts I have heard I would guess that it is related to the plesiousaur and can breathe underwater. I believe that this species spends the majority of time in the deepest parts of the lake which accounts for the lack of sightings.

When did you start your website?

I started my website in the summer of 2005 after hearing about the Champ video that ended up on ABC News. It started as a joke, but it soon became apparent that there were a lot of people who had seen Champ and believe 100% in his existence. I have recently done a total redesign of the site to allow guests to comment and participate in discussion.

I see from your website that you’re offering a $1000 reward for video
or photographic evidence of champ, how has that been going? Have you
received anything that you would say is really conclusive and that
warranted the reward?

I have only received one photo which only showed a large wave on the lake. People that are serious about photographing Champ should invest in a pair of binoculars with a built in camera… your regular digital camera is not going to cut it. The offer still stands and I am looking forward to paying the reward.

Do you think that people are more likely to share their stories if
money is involved, it sounds like an obvious question, but many of the
people I’ve spoken with are not at all afraid to come forward and talk
about sightings even if they think people will look at them differently?

I think that most people that see Champ are quick to tell their friends and others because it is usually a very surreal experience. I put the reward up in the hopes that it might encourage people to bring their camera to the lake with them so that their experiences will be documented. I have received countless sighting reports from people who are frustrated that they were without a camera. If you are a reputable person and have a detailed and consistent account, most people will believe you.

What are the tours you’re giving going to entail? Could you just describe what a standard tour will be like?

The Champ Tour plans have changed a bit this summer so that I can spend more time researching. I am planning to partner with one of the Lake Champlain cruise companies to offer literature on Champ and publicize the $1000 reward. The whole goal is to raise awareness and to encourage people to have their eyes peeled and camera at the ready.

Since you’ve started this website that not only offers information, but
also sells products bearing champ’s image on them and the tours you’re
going to be giving, are there many others out there like yourself?
People who are passionate about the subject but also see this as a
marketing opportunity?

I have been amazed by how many people purchase Champ items from the online store. I use the profits to offset costs and hope to eventually set up a nonprofit organization. It really just goes to show that there are a ton of people that believe in Champ or are fascinated by the legend. When I first set up the site, I was shocked to find that there weren’t others dedicated to Champ, I am sure that once we have proof that will all change.

-Signing Off
Charlie Champ Chaser
